MEET KATHY!

Kathy Helmer is quite possibly the person Citizen Canine guests most love to see: She’s our head chef and waiter!

Kathy joined Citizen Canine in 2001 for what was supposed to be a temporary job lasting only a few weeks. She loved the dogs so much, she’s been here ever since.

A clean plate and a thank-you kiss are Kathy’s favorite things. Whether it’s adding a touch of special goodies to a meal, or sitting with a reluctant eater and hand feeding, Kathy makes sure no guest ever goes to bed hungry. Kathy is also certified in Pet First Aid.

A lifelong resident of the Bay Area, Kathy currently lives with her sister and her furry niece Miranda. (pictured above). When she’s not at Citizen Canine loving up your dog, she can be found snuggling her grandson, Dmitri
